The occupational benefit schemes’ safety net – competence you can rely on

The Substitute Occupational Benefit Institution is one of a kind: the not-for-profit organisation works on behalf of the Swiss government and is the only pension fund in Switzerland to offer statutory occupational benefits that are available to all employers and individuals. The private sector institution is supported by employee and employer organisations. The institution is a linchpin of the second pillar and guarantees the stability of the system.

The Substitute Occupational Benefit Institution provides insurance cover to over 1.3 million customers and manages assets in excess of CHF 18 billion. With offices in Zurich, Lausanne and Bellinzona, the institution employs over 200 people.
